The Artist Scarf: Custom Silk Scarf with Image and Size of Your Choice

Picasso famously said "Every child is an artist." Bring to life your child's favourite artwork and create a custom print scarf for grandma. Or get a portrait of your beloved pet printed on a handmade scarf, with your preferred silk and custom finishes. We can turn your favourite images into wearable art.

Choosing a Size and Shape

• We recommend reviewing popular sizes and shapes from the drop-down. Prices are also indicated
• We accept custom size requests. Please message us for this option

Choosing a Type of Silk and Finish
Classic silk scarves are typically made from 100% silk with different textures.
Options include:

• Silk charmeuse (default): soft, smooth, and lustrous
• Silk twill: crisp finish and subtle sheen
• Please note: If you prefer silk twill, there is a minimum order quantity of two scarves. Please message us for this option.

Choosing Machine Stitched Edges or Hand Rolled Edges

• Select machine stitched edges or hand rolled edges from the drop down
• Please note: hand-rolled edges take longer to complete

Image Quality

• We recommend choosing quality, sharp images
• We accept high-resolution images greater than 150 pixels per inch
• We accept file formats: JPEG, RGB, and CMYK
• Please note: image resolution requirements increase if you select a large size scarf 

Image Size 

• Please scale the image to fit the dimensions of the scarf in the same aspect ratio (length and width proportions)
• Please extend your image by 0.79 inch (2 cm) on all sides to account for the bleed. Since it may be difficult to print exactly to size, this step is necessary. For example, if you aim to print on a scarf that is 34 inches x 34 inches, the image size must be 34.79 inches x 34.79 inches  
• If any discrepancy remains, we've got a designer who can resolve any issues for an added fee- 

Time Frame

• The process takes approximately one month from the date the details of your order are confirmed to order dispatch
• Please note: finishes such as hand rolled edges will extend the time frame

Care

• Due to the delicate nature of our printed scarves, we recommend gentle hand washing only 

Steps:

1. Soak the scarf in a container filled with mild soap and lukewarm water
2. Wash and rinse by gently squeezing the scarf under running water. Do not rub or wring the fabric
3. Hang to dry
4. Steam on the low heat setting

Shipping & Return

Canadian customers:

• Default Tracked Shipping: Standard delivery time is 5-7 business days
• Xpress: upgrade at check out. Standard delivery time is around 3 business days
• Free Pick Up: Toronto customers can arrange for pick up from the Liberty Village area. Please message us

United States customers:

• Standard shipping is via Chit Chat with tracking. Standard delivery time is 5-7 business days
• Upgraded shipping is via Canada Post Xpress. Standard delivery time is 3-5 business days

United Kingdom, European Union, Australian, and New Zealand customers:

• Standard shipping is via Chit Chat with tracking. Standard delivery time is 3-4 weeks

Other international customers:
Standard shipping: does not include tracking. If you'd like to get tracking, please contact us for the shipping rate

Return

• Custom printed scarves cannot be returned. However, we will consult with you frequently during the process to ensure the final product meets your expectations
